Disappearing Act

April 16th, 2012

Hello, Hello! I know I promised that I would blog regularly and keep you updated on new jewelry….well, needless to say I have had a very busy 6 months.  We started off with a trip to the east coast in October of last year and we just kept traveling.

This was our last 6 month;

October;  Connecticut and Vermont (and a touch of New Hampshire)

November; We went to Iowa to visit my family

December;  We went to sunny Arizona to get away from the snow

January;  We went to Seattle to visit friends

February;  We went to Florida and Cameron enjoyed being a beach baby

March;  Back to Iowa for a family visit again (I make this a every 6 month trip)

I have averaged about 2 weeks home every month for the last 6 months and in those two weeks I am trying to catch up on business and “real life” and my blogs fell to the weigh side. I can not and will not let this happen again, I have missed posted things and events that are near and dear to my heart.  And if I do plan on disappearing I will let you know ahead of time!

Here are a couple of highlights from the last six months;

Vermont in the fall, so beautiful!

Our trip to Fl with family, this is a group shot of some of my siblings with their kiddos, we try to all meet in FL at the same time every year at get together, we have so much fun!

I was just home in Iowa and this is my 99 year old grandfather playing the harmonica, talk about a sweet sound!

I had to leave you with a picture of Cameron hanging out in my hutch. Love this little lady!

I am also in the process of starting a blog with my mom, and I will be posting those details very soon, we are very excited about where this road will take us.  Hopefully we will have many interesting stops along the way to share with our audience.  I have a feeling that maintaining three blogs will keep me busy, but I can assure you that I need all three for very different reasons.  I maintain a personal blog to keep our out of town family (this is all of our families) updated on our personal life, I do keep this one to just family, maybe someday I will share this one, but for now it seems to be just what Cameron’s grandparents need.  And my Summer Lynn Designs blog will fill my need to create and reach out to my devoted customers.  I am so excited about our new blog (name to be released soon) will fill my need to share with you bits of inspiration, amazing recipes, and in general just what it truly takes to be a mom and a wife and a business owner.

When I return I will have some pictures of some of my latest creations!

What a Terrific Trunk Show!

September 20th, 2011

This last Sunday I teamed up with Terri of Rodan and Fields and we had a very successful trunk show, if I would have know how many people would have showed up I would have brought 2 times the jewelry that I did.  Our space was small so I just brought one table worth of Jewelry and by the end of the show it was very picked over (YEAH!!!!).  As you  can  see with the pictures I forgot my Summer Lynn Designs sign, without it I felt as though my display was incomplete…I am so picky when it comes to presentation, because you only have one chance to make a first impression. But really it was a fantastic show and I can not wait to team up with her again!

Now, it is on to a craft fair that I do every year, it is basically in our front yard, so I just walk everything over to the show to set up.  If you are going to be in the Littleton area on October 1st don’t miss the Friends of Littleton Craft Fair!

I keep on promising that I will post pictures of my fall line, I have been so busy making jewelry for my upcoming trunk show that I have not had a chance to get nice pictures of my pieces in my light box.  So, for now here is a sneak peak of the jewelry that I am creating for my upcoming trunk show with Terri Billings of Rodan and Fields!
